We were looking for "just the right" pet for our professional lifestyle; not too big, not too high maintenance. At first we were considering a Jack Russell, but decided against it after repeated warnings concerning their constant need for attention, and somewhat destructive personalities. We read about the AHT's on the internet, and could not imagine having a dog with NO HAIR! While researching, we always came back to the AHT as our "ideal" pet. We found a breeder here in Arizona, and decided to adopt our very own AHT! His name is Maximilian B; "Max" for short! Max is a male, and was born with a slightly shorter than normal tail. He also has unique coloring for an AHT, and is nearly solid Chocolate in color. (He started out Caramel in color, but I suspect his "tan" has turned him much darker now!) Only his chest has the traditional spots. He is definitely a sun-worshipper, and just loves romping in our large backyard! When cold, he burrows deep into blankets and such, and is just a cutie! He is a very social dog, and we regularly take him along when we go places. People just can't believe it when they meet him! He is friendly, sweet, and sooooo soft! He almost never barks, and aside from digging a bit outside, is an ideal companion. Max makes himself right at home with us, and gives us great joy! He is an absolute delight! Max just celebrated his 1st birthday!
